First Look St. Louis Blue Suburban Conference Outlook 10/21/2020

This year's St. Louis Suburban Blue Conference should be highly competitive and that is one of the reasons for re-shuffling teams according to strength every couple of years.  Except for a couple of teams, many of this year's Blue squads have struggled in past years to post five or seven wins.  It's a bummer to not have any success in your conference.  A number of these teams will compete for the title in the Blue conference but my guess is that Parkway North will take this conference.  The middle of this conference will be a logjam of teams with 5-3 or 4-4 records, which is exactly why the conference shuffling every two years is good for high school kids.

Here's my ranking of teams in Blue:
1. Parkway North
2. Normandy
3. Clayton
4. Affton
5. Fox
6. Seckman
7. Northwest Cedar Hill
8. McCluer South Berkley

  Premise:   If VPS (Value Point System) directly correlates to a team’s winning percentage, why not use it as a metric to drive team improvement? What is VPS?   VPS stands for Value Point System.   It is calculated by adding the points and rebounds plus two times the Assists, Charges taken, Steals and Blocks and dividing that product by the Number of Free Throw misses plus two times the Field Goal misses plus Fouls and Turnovers. Final Missouri Girls - All class ratings - March 24th, 2021

 There may not have been a more dominant team in Missouri Girls basketball than undefeated Incarnate Word Academy Red Knights who won by a 26 point margin of victory this season, including a 21 point victory over an outstanding Webster Groves team in the final and a 37 point win over Staley in the quarterfinal game.  Third rated Kickapoo and Webster are neck and neck but the Red Knights dominated, much like the 31-0 undefeated 2013 Incarnate Word champions, who outscored opponents by over 30 points per game.   Unfortunately for the rest of the state, the Red Knights did not have any seniors on their team this year.  Gear up for the battles next season.
